Cookie Chat — Terms of Service

The rules for using cookiechat.net

Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cookie Chat — the website at cookiechat.net, its chat terminal, its cards and every page it serves (the "Service"). Cookie Chat is an official Cookie Chain ecosystem app operated by the Cookie Chat team ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms, to the Privacy Policy and to the Risk Disclosure. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Cookie Chat is an independent application built on Cookie Chain. It does not speak for Cookie Chain, and Cookie Chain is not a party to these Terms.

You may use the Service only if:

  • you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement;
  • you are not a person or entity named on a sanctions list (for example those kept by the UN, the EU, the UK or the US), and you are not located in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions;
  • using the Service, and the blockchains and tokens it touches, is lawful where you are. You are responsible for knowing whether it is.

We may restrict or refuse access to anyone, anywhere, where we believe the law requires it or the Service is being misused.

3. What the Service is

Cookie Chat is a chat terminal for Cookie Chain. You ask a question in your own words and it answers with text and live data cards built from public sources — the chain itself, its explorer, market-data providers and the ecosystem's own registries. Some cards go further and prepare a blockchain transaction for you to review and sign: a swap, a stake, a bridge transfer, a .cook name, an NFT trade and similar actions.

There are no accounts. A browser is recognised by a random identifier stored in a cookie, and a wallet connection is optional. The basic tier is free. Higher tiers open by holding the Cookie Chat token, $CHAT — never by a subscription or a payment to us (see section 6).

We may add, change, limit or remove any feature, tier or allowance at any time, including temporarily lifting or tightening limits. Features may be labelled experimental; they are offered as they are.

4. Not financial advice

Everything the Service shows — answers, cards, figures, charts, summaries and "reads" of a token's trading — is general information, not advice. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything, and not a price prediction. No answer takes your circumstances into account, and no fiduciary or advisory relationship exists between you and us.

Answers are written by an AI model from data fetched at the moment you ask. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and data sources can fail. Check anything that matters against the official sources the Service links to before you rely on it.

5. Your wallet and your transactions

Cookie Chat is non-custodial. We never hold your private keys, seed phrase or funds, and we cannot sign anything on your behalf. When a card prepares an action, the transaction is built unsigned with your wallet as its fee payer and handed to your browser; your wallet shows its own summary and you decide whether to sign. If you do not sign, nothing happens.

By signing you confirm that you have reviewed the transaction in your wallet and that you are acting on your own decision. You accept that:

  • blockchain transactions are irreversible. We cannot cancel, reverse, refund or recover a transaction, a transfer to a wrong address, or a token sent to an account that cannot use it;
  • prices move between the moment a card shows a figure and the moment a transaction lands. Amounts marked as estimates (≈) are estimates, and a transaction can fail, cost network fees, or fill at a different price within the limits it carries;
  • the protocols a transaction uses — the Cookie Chain swap aggregator and its pools, the staking pool, the NFT marketplace, the .cook name registry, the Hyperlane bridge, Solana and Cookie Chain themselves, and the official cookie-mcp toolkit that builds many actions — are operated by third parties, not by us, and follow their own rules and fees;
  • you are solely responsible for your wallet, its security, the device it runs on, and every transaction you sign.

Cookie Chat will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is not us.

6. $CHAT, tiers and promotions

$CHAT is the Cookie Chat utility token on Cookie Chain. Holding a set amount in a connected wallet opens a higher tier of the Service. The tiers, their thresholds and what they include may change, and a tier is a description of access to the Service, not a promise of any particular feature or of its continued existence.

$CHAT gives you no ownership, equity, voting, dividend, revenue, profit or other right in Cookie Chat or in anyone behind it, and no claim against us. We do not sell $CHAT to you: buying it is a swap you execute on-chain, at market prices, with your own wallet. Nothing on the Service is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any token or security in any jurisdiction. The tokenomics paper describes how the token is set up.

Airdrops, matches and other promotions are discretionary. Each one runs on the rules published with it — eligibility, seats, amounts, dates — and we may change, pause or end a promotion, or refuse or reverse eligibility, where we see abuse: multiple wallets or identities, automated or scripted participation, exploiting a bug, or anything that breaks the promotion's rules or its spirit. Where a payout is made on-chain it is final. Taxes on anything you receive are your responsibility.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, including fraud, market manipulation, money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions evasion;
  • attack, probe, overload or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or try to bypass its rate limits, allowances, tier checks or other safeguards;
  • access the Service by automated means at volume — bots, scrapers, scripted querying — or resell or redistribute it, without our written permission;
  • try to make the AI produce content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive or that infringes someone else's rights, or use its answers to mislead others;
  • impersonate Cookie Chat, Cookie Chain or anyone else, or present the Service's output as an official statement by either.

We may limit, suspend or block access — for a browser, a wallet or a network — that we reasonably believe breaks these rules.

8. Content

Your questions. You are responsible for what you type. Do not include personal data about yourself or others that the question does not need. You allow us to store and process your questions and the answers to them to run the Service, to keep it safe and to improve it, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Our content. The Service's software, design, text and the Cookie Chat name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Cookie Chain's names and marks belong to their owners. You may share and quote answers the Service gives you; you do so at your own risk and should not present them as advice or as official statements.

The Service shows data from, and links to, services we do not run — explorers, exchanges, bridges, marketplaces, wallets, social networks and others. We are not responsible for their content, availability, fees, security or terms, and a link is not an endorsement. Your wallet provider (for example Nightly) has its own terms and privacy policy.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, timely or error-free. Data sources, blockchains, bridges and RPC endpoints can be slow, wrong or offline, and a card can fail to load or refuse an action because a check could not be completed.

11. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, tokens, funds, data or opportunity, arising from or related to your use of the Service — including losses from transactions you sign, market movements, failed or delayed transactions, bridge delays, the acts or failures of third-party protocols and services, errors in data or answers, or the compromise of your wallet or device.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to USD 100. The Service is free; tiers are opened by holding a token, not by paying us.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.

13. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time; delete your conversations from the sidebar and clear the site's cookie if you want your browser's history gone. We may suspend or end your access as set out in sections 2 and 7. Sections 4, 5, 6, 8 and 11–13 continue to apply after your use ends.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will make it visible on the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
